"Shards of Being: Seeing the Light Through Life’s Cracks"

During a recent conversation with someone, I was struck by his self-description as a "mosaic." When I complimented his intricate nature, he smiled and responded, "I am a mosaic." While I smiled back and outwardly agreed, internally I thought differently. To me, he wasn’t just a mosaic; he was a beautiful stained-glass window, casting vibrant, illuminating colors onto my world.
This encounter made me realize that we are all made up of fragments of something. We continuously project ourselves onto others and navigate through life piecing together these fragments. But here's the profound part: while some of us may be just aesthetically pleasing mosaics, others are like stained glass, transforming light into a spectrum of brilliance that paints our existence with vibrant hues of meaning and emotion.
Every person is a composition of broken pieces, and it’s up to us to decide whether we merely piece together a pretty picture or we choose to shine brightly, illuminating the lives of those around us with our colors and lights.
